Two besties from Atlanta who have been friends for over 15 years and bonded even deeper over our shared love of books and reading.

During the pandemic, we both rekindled our love of reading—and after we both read The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker, we haven’t stopped reading together since!

One of the things we love most about reading together is that we have completely different tastes. Kate might be obsessing over a dark academia thriller while Ashby is devouring the latest enemies to lovers romance, and that’s what makes it so fun! You don’t have to like or enjoy the same things as other people to build an incredible friendship and community around books.

Over the past two years we’ve hosted an in-person readtreat and tons of virtual book clubs, and we’ve built an amazing community of fellow book lovers over at @readingwithbesties on Instagram. What started as two friends sharing book recommendations has grown into something so much bigger.

Reading with besties is more than just reading books together—it’s about bringing people together with a shared interest and building a community where everyone feels welcome, whether you’re into spicy romance, cozy mysteries, or literary fiction.
